Selection of Fire Door Hardware Accessories

1. Fire-resistant Hinge

The number of hinges on each door leaf is determined by the leaf's height: doors taller than 1800 mm use 3 hinges, while doors shorter than 1800 mm use 2 hinges.

2. Locks

Pipe shaft doors are fitted with pipe shaft door locks, while machine room doors are equipped with fire-rated lever locks. Doors used for passageways can be installed with either fire-rated lever locks or emergency escape push-bar locks.

3. Door closer

Fire doors—except those for pipe shafts—must be equipped with door closers. A single-leaf door requires one door closer, while a double-leaf door needs two.

4. Sequencer

Both double-leaf doors equipped with two door closers should be fitted with one sequencer.

5. Fireproof Latch

Double-leaf fire doors equipped with fire-resistant locks or corridor door locks should have two fire-rated latches installed on the door leaf that does not have a lock— one at the top and one at the bottom of the leaf.
